Data Link Simulator accept user message from the Sender which will be transmitted to the Receiver. Sender type the message in the white text area. Then, receiver will received the message in the read only text area.

Sent Message Information / Received Message Information
This two tables show information, such as frame sequence number, message in character form & its equivalent binary form, and so on.

Error Detection Method / Flow Control Method / Settings / Sliding Windows ARQ Method
This is the control panel that allows the user to customize the simulator with the options allowed.

Transmission Information
These text areas show the workings of the simulator as in real life applications.

How To Use This Program
Just type the message in the allocated white text area and click "Send". Instead of clicking the "Send" button, user can choose to send the message by clicking the "File" menu. Then, click the "Send" menu item that pops up.

How To Run The Program

Put the CD into the CD-ROM, the CD will auto run the program.

If the program does not auto run after the CD is inserted, you can Click on Desktop Icon "My Computer", then you select "Compact Disc" Drive, and right click, select "Explore" in the Popup Menu. Then, double click the file named "DLSim.exe".
